Nice.

I thought the character design and animation were great. You have a funny little story here... I liked the end quite a bit. Very different than the usual fight cartoons on NG.

There's only one thing I would recommend... you have really cool animation, but the background is, well, crappy. If you redid the hill, sky, and clouds to look better, then resubmitted it as like a "Dualism: Redux" or something, I would give it a higher score. It would be a pretty professional piece then. It shouldn't be too difficult, just change out the cloud graphics and draw a cooler looking hill.

Overall, really goodwork.

Decent animation, with a but...

Well, I don't know why people are bitching at you about the backflip and kick animation... I trust that you didn't "copy" it. Even if you used a video for frame-referencing, this still isn't copying, it's rotoscoping, which is a legitemate method of animation. True, it's better to use video or film footage you shot yourself, but kids animating out of their houses in their spare time can't be expected to do Crouching freakin' Tiger, now, can they?

The animation for the rest of your show was merely mediocre. I say this because I care.

And as far as the humor goes... I didn't laugh once. Seriously, not one time. I didn't even crack a smile. I would venture that one has to have played this game to get the jokes or whatever. However, I suspect that even were I a fan of the game series I would still weep silently inward at the attempt at humor contained in this piece. Sorry, but this is as true as I can call it.

By the way, do they even have marijuana in England? I'm guessing they must, but that you've never actually smoked it. I live in the state of Oregon in the United States (it's on the west coast), and here in this part of the country every man, woman, child, and mammalian pet smokes pot multiple times per day (this includes myself). Oregon's biggest (illegal) export is marjiuana, with the (much more legal) export of trees as raw lumber close behind that.

But I stray from the subject... you have made a common mistake among drug-novice animators here on Newgrounds, which is one of your characters hallucinates colors and tracers as a result of smoking pot.

There is no such effect from smoking pot. Really. Try it some time and you'll see what I mean. If you want colors and tracers, try LSD, mushrooms, mescaline, or some other form of hallucinogen. Certain disassociative drugs can also produce similar effects. Even staying up for several days in a row on crystal or crank can cause hallucinations which may include strange colors, but will more likely be peripheral manifestations of paranoia in the form of "shadow people" or some such thing.

But not pot. Pot gives you no tracers and no colored designs.

Oh, I'm sorry, you fellows spell it "colour" over there, don't you? My appologies.

By the way, why the hell did this take you a year to make? Jesus God, man, do you draw like two frames a day or something?

Jesus, man... I got as far as the green blobby guy saying "Oh, hur hur hur, I didant tel yuo wher to meet me yet, duuuuhhhrrr" and then Megaman said "Oh golly me, I knew that duuuuh" *drools on shoes* and I had to stop watching it. I think I actually lost brain cells from watching this movie-show. Which makes your cartoon a threat to national security!

Great artwork, but...

Do you know what the definition of "arrogancy" is? It's setting up an online store and a forum for EPISODE NUMBER FREAKIN ONE of your show!!!!! How the hell do you know that anyone is even going to like it? Especially enough to buy something...

On to the review though...
The subject matter is cliched. You should really try to get off of the whole "grown in a vat and augmented by the government to be an unstoppable killing machine" thing. I've seen that a million-bazillion times. Everyone on Newgrounds has probably seen it a million-bazillion times.

And no, I will not be contacting the Cartoon Network or Tokyopop. The VERY LAST THING we need on TV is MORE ANIME. Especially anime made in the UNITED STATES. I think by now everyone has seen what anime looks, sounds, smells like. Just because you like something DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO COPY IT. By the way, ANIME IS JAPANESE, AND LAST TIME I CHECKED "MCCRAY" IS NOT A JAPANESE NAME.

THE GOOD PART OF THE REVIEW:
The only thing you have going for you is your artwork and animation. They are superb. Come up with an original idea and you will be a millionaire.

Funny. I'd say that arrogancy would be:

a) Not having the comprehension to understand that Arrogancy was already established as a series with 4 prologue chapters before this one.

b) Saying that a story is "unoriginal" because the base setup has been seen before - with no knowledge of the fruition of the entire story. Originality is determined by the details, not by the setup.

c) Viewing anime as a genre as opposed to a medium.

But, of course, that's just me :)

One recommendation:
Make the action faster after the scene changes from the stage to the boats. Every fourth beat you should do a jump-cut to a close-up of a different dwarf's face, and then cut back really quick, or something like that. Do that for the nun too. Make the action faster... I mean, this is punk rock, man! Fucking act like it! Nuns and people in teddy bear suits do not fight in slow motion in punk videos! EVERYBODY KNOWS THAT!

If you do this, you will have a kick-ass video. Your artwork is fantastic.
