[Spare Parts Episode 2]

Ugh.

I kind of enjoyed the first one (see my review), but this one just went wrong. What happened? It seems like you didn't really know where to take the series, so you just made up some random stuff.

And you really, REALLY have to work on your timing. None of the jokes worked for me at all... the pace is WAY too slow. Most comedy - especially like the Loony Tunes style you were going for - has to be quick and snappy to work. Otherwise you can see the joke coming from a mile away, and by the time it gets here it's not funny.

Another thing that was a little dissapointing:
The premise of the series is that the characters have to find thier purpose, but there was absolutly nothing in this episode that helped push the plot along. It's okay to joke it up, but there should be _something_ in each episode that has to do with the main theme of your series.

I hope you don't think I'm being harsh, I'm really trying to be constructive with you. I hope this helps... :)

ANOTHER anti-jump video?

I didn't realize that kids jumping to thier deaths was some sort of epidemic.

Eh... suicide culls the weak from the herd. There's nothing wrong with it. Just jump, already... Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeesplat! No more whiney kid!

No, but seriously, the song did fit, but Blink182 still sucks... Your artwork is quite stylish, but you could use some work on the backgrounds. The "special message" at the end was just a lame guilt trip on innocent people. Parents and teachers do not cause suicide... only the person who commits suicide causes thier suicide. If you're considering it, just get some counseling. Or wait it out for about four years... I didn't stop feeling sorry for myself until I was about 18 (when I finished high school and moved out of my parent's house). You'd be suprised at what that does for your emotional well-being.

Still really good...

After four years, this movie is still excellent. I wonder why Randolf never submitted anything else? No profile, no site listed... it's a real shame.

On the other hand, maybe he IS still doing stuff, and just doesn't want to waste his talents on NG.

I wouldn't blame him.

But, Randolf... if you're out there and you're reading this... PLEASE MAKE MORE! :)

I don't get it...

...remake of what Animatrix movie? Did you make your own Animatrix bit, then remake it? don't see a first one in your list...

Eh. Whatever. It was okay. The graphics could use some refining, and the animation was a little stiff (mainly when she's doing that backflip over the bar, or thing, or whatever the hell it is, I can't tell. Maybe you should re-remake it.)

[Frank's Wild Years]

Nice...

Love Tom Waits, love that song... good style overall, but I think your movie could have been a little less literal. It's kind of lazy to show what's actually being said all the time. Tom says "a couple of Mickey's Bigmouths," Frank thinks "Mickey's x2," etc.

Try using "simultaneous action." For some scenes, show something that might not necessarily be congruent with the narrative, but will still enhance the story. Just a suggestion... :)

What a waste of load time.

Your sprite movie is just like every other srite movie out there, with the exception of 'Sprite Warp.'

So what's the incentive to watch this one? There isn't any. It's boring. There are ninety million other sprite movies just like this. Pick one at random, and you've seen them all...

Oh, by the way, it's "Dr. Robotnik", not "Eggman."

Way too long.

You really could have cut out about half of this. The file doesn't need to be five megs, man. Not to mention the completely unecessary "Instant Replay." That's what replay buttons are for, brainiac.

On top of that, it wasn't too funny, and while there are some decent submissions on NG that are video transfers, generally they just suck. Next time just post a link to the video in the BBS.

Very stylish...

The artwork is pretty good, but the best things about this movie are the stylish special effects. Unlike nerowolfx, I think this could be a pretty good story... as long as there actually IS a story (not just random slaughter). I'll be looking forward to checking it out when it's done!

(One tip: the mech-thing with the humanish face walks a little stiffly. Make it's body move up & down slightly with each step and the walk cycle will be improved 100%)
